Waltham Chase Mill is situated to the south east of Bishop’s Waltham, in south central Hampshire. Immediately upstream of the mill is The Moors Local Nature Reserve (LNR) and Site of Special Scientific Interest. Much of The Moors is owned and managed by Hampshire County Council’s Countryside Service as a nature reserve. The Countryside Service also manages four other countryside sites in the Parish of Bishop’s Waltham all within 2km of Waltham Chase Mill. These are Claylands LNR, Dundridge Valley nature reserve, part of both the disused Bishop’s Waltham railway line to Botley and North Pond in the centre of the town.
